There are many ways you can hide online. There are also many reasons for doing this, which usually link to limiting beliefs or fears you may have.
These are some common visibility blocks that stop people from owning their social media presence and showing up in their fullest authentic expression.
1. You’re afraid to speak your truth on your personal profile.
Often, just imagining a handful of people judging you can keep you stuck in your box.
You may be imagining a family member, an ex-colleague, an old high school friend judging you for the way you show up and express online and this is what keeps you stuck.
The thought of them in your mind keeps you sharing only to your business page OR in your private groups but stops your sharing on your personal profile, even though that is where the most people are likely to interact with your content.
You are afraid people will judge you as an imposter and say “Who are YOU to be saying all these things?!”
2. You’re afraid to be seen as pushy!
Another reason you may be afraid to show up online is that you don’t want to come across as being a pushy salesperson.
You are worried that if you share what you are offering online that people will judge you or get annoyed that you are selling to them.
Re-framing this belief can really help you to unblock your mindset and transform your visibility online.
3. You’re afraid to attract haters
If you are afraid to step into your full visibility online, it may be because you are genuinely concerned that if you step out and speak your truth, that you could attract haters, trolls, or invite conflict from people who disagree with you.
There are tools and ways of being that can help you feel empowered about this and help you show up authentically in a way that prevents you from letting these fears hold you back from shining online!
I am passionate about teaching entrepreneurs how to identify their visibility blocks and help them find out what is holding them back online. Once you remove these blocks, you can really see your business boom, by being your authentic self online.
